Some general guidelines-

A good size for the beads is 4.75" x 4.75"

That size bead weighs just under 4 lbs.

10 - 12 is a good number of beads per strand (Plan on each strand weighing 40 - 50 lbs)

For spacing out the strands 6" works well.
